Hello Fashionable Gal readers!
My name is Kayla and I am a new contributing beauty writer for Fashionable Media. I love finding out about new products through friends I trust, and I hope to be that person for you. Here are some things you need to know about me: I’m a classics girl. I don’t usually jump on the trend train. Maybe it’s because I’m boring, or lack courage like some of you readers, but I like to think it’s because I’m just trying to channel my inner Chanel. I try to adhere to the fashion rules of the French. I’m also pretty simplistic in my makeup endeavors. I never leave the house without curling my lashes and applying mascara, but I have yet to try a smokey eye. If there is one thing I learned from my grandmother, it’s to always have red lipstick and red accessories on hand. That woman was the Queen of red shoes, red purses, and leaving behind red kisses. I try to use products that are as natural as possible. Sometimes I even make my own concoctions with items from my kitchen. Strawberry Brown Sugar Scrub anyone? I am also a full-time graduate student, so money and time savers are at the top of my list. I’m excited to share the products I’ve been using lately. Keep your eyes open for my upcoming reviews. First off, I love Tone body wash. They are one of the few body wash brands that I trust. So many others end up drying out my skin, having a fake and rather nasty smell, or just not working for me. So I was thrilled I had a chance to try the new Ocean Therapy Body Wash from Tone!
The new body wash contains deep sea extracts (sea kelp) and pear essence with Vitamin E. Not only does it smell good, but it’s also good for you too!
I’m completely and utterly in love with this new body wash. As I expected, it left my skin feeling silky soft and replenished. My legs feel so dang smooth! (I’m not so secretly hoping Tone will release a shaving cream at some point. Because that would be freakin awesome) Actually, my overall skin feels like silk.
The scent is amazing. It’s relaxing and smells like the ocean with a slight fruity/tropical hint that I adore.

Degree is a brand that I know and trust. I remember my mother always using Degree products when I was younger so this is a brand I know and trust. Personally I’m excited to see that the Degree family is staying on top of the latest trends with their products.

Ever wanted your favorite companies to marry? I am singing songs today because this happened. What? Olay and Venus have joined together to produce the best razors. Ever. Venus razors are the only razors that I use and I pretty much only use Olay bodywash. This marriage is a match made in heaven and so much more.
The Gillette Venus and Olay Razor is incredible. This is the best razor I have ever used. Ever. Shaving with this razor is silky smooth and you don’t even need any shaving cream because your legs feel so silky soft and smooth after shaving instead of rough patches. Ewww…
I used this razor for several weeks and when I finished it I didn’t get a chance to run to the store and get a new one for a day. So I went back to using a razor whose brand name will remain nameless. After? My skin felt terrible. I scratched and cut myself SO many times and the ingrown hairs that I got are terrible. And I mean terrible. I missed this razor so much it wasn’t even funny.
Just try it. Try the Venus & Olay razor for a few weeks and then go back to using a boring “regular” razor. Trust me, you will see the difference and you will never want to go back to using drugstore razors again!
The Gillette Venus & Olay razor is available at most stores throughout the United States for $10.99-$19.49. This might seem pricier then most razors, but it is SO SO SO SO SO worth it. I am never going back to another brand again. Ever. I am forever in P&G’s debt for making this razor. Forever.

Can I just say that this product is INCREDIBLE?? I’ve been using this product for almost three months and my freckles have faded so much. I am so impressed with this product!
Zoya Nail Polish
Zoya is by far the best brand of nail polish out there. With a color selection to die for and the bonus fact that it’s oh-so easy to apply and it’s all natural it wins hands down for me.
L’Occitaine Lotion
