Product Review: Mata Traders

I recently found out about a fair trade company called Mata Traders. And when they offered to send me a product to review I jumped at a chance to get one of their products. I chose their Frill Denim Handbag to review.

The frill denim handbag is a cute little handbag that is made from recycled denim. And features a dark blue denim color, a zipper closure, and a handle. This bag might look small, but it does hold quite a bit and is perfect for school or a shopping trip at the mall.

I really liked this bag, but I did find one thing that I didn’t like about it and that was because it didn’t have any pockets inside it. That really surprised me because most handbags have pockets in them!

Here is a little bit about Mata Traders…..

Mata Traders Misson:

Our mission is to work with organizations that educate, employ, and empower women. Spending time with these groups has helped us realized that even the most traditional women, when given the opportunity, thrive in a sphere of meaningful work that is outside their homes and families. We have also learned that equality in the workplace IS possible in a country as socially stratified as India. Whether a beginner sewer or the marketing director, all the women that make our clothing and accessories have a voice. We are so proud to be a part of that voice by bringing you their quality handiwork in a high fashion, fairly traded product line.

You can buy this bag for $32 here.

Unfortunately I am one of those unemployed who happens to raise my two children alone. I have a series of job interviews but still at this moment none of those company had called me. I just don’t know if being a single parent does affect my portfolio and hinders any employer to hire me.
