“Atari, Inc., one of the world’s most recognized brands, and The Weinstein Company, executive producers of the award-winning reality series Project Runway, announced that the Project Runway videogame, based on the mega hit-TV program, is making its way “from the runway” into retail stores.  This fashion forward title, developed by Tornado Studios, is currently available for Wiiâ„¢ and PC.

A must have “accessory” for series fans; Project Runway the videogame puts players in the role of aspiring fashion designers.  Similar to the show, “designers” are presented with a range of theme challenges as they create fashions, select models, and style them with hair, make-up, and accessories.  Players can then go from designer to model and show off their creations and work their way down the runway using the Wii Balance Board™ accessory. Capturing the true essence of Project Runway, the title features the show’s key talent Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia as well as eight contestants from season six including reigning Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva.

In addition to the core reality show competition, the Project Runway videogame for Wii™ includes a variety of fun, family friendly game features inspired by the content from the show.  These include:

  • a Wii Balance Board-compatible catwalk game
  • an interactive garment studio
  • a fashion career mode
  • hair and make-up studios
  • a high-profile fashion photo shoot”

I’m so bummed I don’t have a Wii – I would LOVE to play this game!  It sounds like a ton of fun, and like it covers all aspects of the Project Runway experience.  Y’all know I haven’t been exactly thrilled with this season (or last) but overall, I’m obsessed with the show!

    I love Christian Siriano! I thought his presence and designs totally made that season. I especially loved the season finale that year with his runway show! The BEST!!!

    I love the opportunity to watch up and coming designers grow from start to finish. My favorite challenges are the ones where they have to use other items such as garbage, food or candy wrappers in order to create a garment. It not only shows who has the imagination and creativity necessary in order to become a successful designer but also who is knowledgeable of unusual materials.

    I love the show when Christian Siriano and I think it was Chris put together a gown that was just beautiful and so yards of fabric and won . I think Christian Siriano is already working so hard and getting his clothes,bags and shoes out there. I hated the fact the year before Jeff won,he seemed like a spoiled brat ,his family had money and I haven’t seen anything from him,it should have gone to Michael

    I LOVE the episode when they had to make outifts using supplies from the hardware store! I would never be able to do that, they are so talented!
