Today starts my lip plumper challenge! I’m going to review one plumper a day (about ten in all) and then I’ll do a wrap up with my favorites at the end. I’ll also review the plumpers over a period of time during the day (application, fifteen minutes, half an hour) so you can get a better idea of how the product feels and lasts! It will be something like plump lips with Juvederm, or to that effect at least.
First up: Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumping Treatment by Too Faced.
Application: I’m immediately suspicious, as there’s none of the typical tingling that I associate with plumping products. The very corners of my mouth itch a little bit (annoying) but I’m not feeling anything else. Oh wait, I take that back… Here we go. My entire mouth is itching like you wouldn’t believe. The gloss is also incredibly sticky and thick, but leaves my lips shiny and nicely tinted-the gloss I have is a pastel pink (Techno Pink).
15 Minutes: Okay, minutes five through ten were hell. I pretty much wanted to just scrape my lips off! However, they’re definitely more plump. The downside is that the swelling seems to be going down pretty fast. We’ll see how it goes.
30 Minutes: The itching has completely gone away, but sadly enough, the majority of the “plumping” is gone as well. My lips are a little bit fuller, and the gloss has a heavy dose of microfine shimmer (it’s not glittery, so no worries) that refract the light and do help with the illusion of fuller lips.
Overall: Not bad. I’m not sure if I’d really want to spend $18.50 on this product and sit through that burning again. One perk, however, is that the gloss isn’t nearly as drying as a lot of “stay put” or plumping glosses. The colors are also beautiful (four shades available), and even though I’ve been talking and drinking from a water bottle the entire half hour or so the gloss has been on, and there’s no sign of it budging!
***UPDATE*** It’s now after 10PM and my boyfriend thinks my lips look fuller. Yay!

When I use this, the plumping goes down for a bit, but some of the extra “oomph” def lasts until the next day. Mega power on my lips!
My lips actually still feel a bit fuller! If I can get past that damn itching, this might be my new go-to. However, I’ve got a bunch of brand new plumpers to review, so who knows what I’ll find!
