Colored mascara is one of my absolute favorite ways to spice up the makeup routine because it’s so damn easy! No separate brushes, no tricky maneuvers, no investment of time-just swipe ‘n’ go! Well, okay, you want to put a little effort in so you don’t poke your eyes out… But I’m pretty sure y’all are familiar with the “start from the base, wiggle brush back and forth, apply second coat for added drama,” routine.
Max Factor has taken colored mascara to a cool new level with their oh-so-handy tubes of Vivid Impact Mascara. These babies are special because there’s a colored base coat AND a highlighting topcoat. The base coats are basic colors-brown, black, navy-but they’re definitely pretty shades. The highlighting topcoats are glossy complimentary colors that will really make your lashes stand out. I find that the best way to get the topcoat to show up is to apply it when the base is still wet. A couple coats really makes it stand out-the 24k Brown is my favorite, because the gold shimmer is just so pretty!
