Shoe Porn: Indigo by Clarks Kona Blend

I’ve found my Fall slacks.  I’ve found my fall button downs (post to come).  I even scored a fab DKNY belted trench on Rue La La for $60.  Now, I’m looking for a totally kick-ass pair (or two!) of shoes to rock through the Fall, since I’m currently sporting a lot of open-toed pairs that will soon be inappropriate.

When shoe shopping, Zappos is a girls best friend.  I love how completely I can narrow down the categories to find exactly what I’m looking for.  In my case, I want a comfy pair of black leather heels, preferably a thick heel or wedge, that will look great with slacks but also be weekend ready for jeans and dresses.  Booties are out, because they’re unflattering on wider calves and therefore a no-no with skirts for me.  Oh, and I’d like them to be no more than $100.  Preferably much less, but that’s just wishful thinking if I want quality!

I ordered a pair of boots on Rue La La that I realized too late were meant to be rain boots – so I’m waiting until they arrive to see if I want to keep them (seems like if they’re good in rain they’ll work in snow!) before I order another pair of shoes.  Gotta pay more attention when shopping online, but it’s hard to shop thoroughly AND covertly when I’m doing it from work – shh!

Anyway, this is one I’m really drooling over.  They’re Indigo by Clarks, and the style is “
Kona Blend
.”  While I need a pair of black shoes, the Kona’s are also available in a gorgeous Burgandy, a rich Brown, and a stunning Navy.  The heel is 3″ but is thick and well supported, and Clarks are known for being high quality and comfortable.

The straps and buttons are really what have my attention.  In a sea of black shoes, I really require something unique.  The fine detailing of the straps are enough to add a wow-factor, without making the shoes crazy or over the top.  I find them to be a great mix of classic and modern, and think that they’re a great value for $100.

Have you found a pair of drool-worthy Fall shoes yet?  Tell me what type of footwear you’re craving in the comments!
