Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea

When I worked at Macy’s, I noticed that the younger crowd avoided the Elizabeth Arden counter as fervently as they avoided mine (Estee Lauder).  I could totally understand why-both brands target an older crowd through their packaging, product effects, and spokes models.  However, all too often, amazing products are passed over by shoppers out of the “target market.”

Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Fragrance is one such gem.  Granted, I didn’t discover it through my own curiosity…  My mother used to wear the scent a long time ago, and I simply adored it.  Of course, she’s past it now-she could only receive so many gift sets and replacement bottles before the fragrance overpowered her, and she a new scent.

Years later, however, I’m following in her footsteps.  I scored my own bottle of EA’s Green Tea Scent Spray (a slightly lighter and less expensive version of the regular Eau de Parfum).  Not only do I adore it, but I’m also reminded of my mom when I wear it…  Each spritz conjures pleasant images of my mother getting ready to go out when I was little, and how I’d sit in the bathroom watching with awe as she applied her lipstick, polish, and rouge.

Don’t worry, though!  There’s nothing “old” about the scent.  Rather, I find it to be a perfect follow up to the Infusion Bath & Body Green Tea products I reviewed before.  It also fits in with the whole green tea health craze going on with the younger crowd today!

Top Notes:  Caraway, Fruity Rhubarb, Lemon, Orange Zest, Bergamot

Middle Notes:  Cool Minty Peppermint, Green Tea, Sweet Jasmine, Spicy Carnation, Fresh Fennel, Crisp Celery Spice

Base Notes:  Oakmoss, Musk, Amber

Delicious, right?  Not a note is wasted, as the fragrance is spicy and delicate from the first spray to the last whiff of the dry down.  You can pick a bottle up at your nearest Elizabeth Arden counter, or online.  And, if perfume’s not your thing, you can try the scent in other ways; it’s also offered in the form of a Body Cream, Body Butter, Bath & Shower Gel, or Deoderant.  Keep your eye out for holiday sets, too-they’re a great way to try several of the aforementioned products for a lot less of the cost!
