Healthy Snack Option #1

Almost every Saturday, I drive out to my mom’s house to spend some time with her. I always get a delicious meal, and she sends me back to my dorm with great snacks. A couple weeks ago, one of my treats was a bag of Newman’s Own Organic Pretzels.
Since I’m a big snacker, pretzels are always a great option. As much as I love sweet snacks, salty ones are probably my favorite. Often, they’re also as unhealthy as their candy counterparts, so that’s where Newman’s Pretzels come in handy!
Each serving is chock full of protein-five grams! That will keep you full and healthy. Even better, you can have twenty hearty pretzels for only 120 calories and 1 gram of fat!
You can pick up a bag of salted, unsalted, or salt-and-pepper pretzels. And if the tradition style isn’t your thing, you can pick them up in stick form, or Bavarian style. Since they’re just over $3 a bag, you can afford to try all the options-even on a student’s budget!
TIP: If it’s hard to keep your sweet tooth in check, mix either dark chocolate M&Ms or organic dark chocolate chips in with the pretzels. Keep the portion of chocolate small, though! Dark chocolate is good for you, and is easier to eat in smaller amounts than other types of chocolate.
